[Author's note: I've skipped a few months. Harry is
jealous, Ron has been released and is hating Draco and
feeling sorry for Hermione, Hermione is dating Draco, Draco
is dating Hermione. It's the middle of December.]
"Draco Malfoy and Hermione Granger, please report to my
office immediatly." came Professor Dumbledore's voice over
the school, magicaly magnified. Hermione and Draco looked
at each other.
"Shall we go, then?" Draco asked.
"Of course!" answered Hermione, and giggled. They headed
toward the Great Hall, curious to know what was needed from
them. A few minuted later, the Headmaster ushered them
into his office, then persuaded the pair to sit.
"As you may know, both the Head Boy and the Head Girl are
going home for the holidays, despite the fact that this is
when we need them the most. The school board of governers
has decided to make temporary Heads. You two have the
highest marks in the entire school, so you were selected to
replace them. Now, before you agree to anything, I will
tell you about the positions. I will start with the
disadvantages. One, you have to patrol the corridors every
other night, making sure no student is out of bed. Second,
as you two are still sixth-years, the seventh-years may be
a tad bit jealous that nane of them got the position.
Third..." he chuckled. "Well, I can't think of anymore.
So, on to the good part! You get private Heads' quarters
for living, eating, washing, sleeping. You still have to
attend all your classes exept Astronomy, as that would
interfere with your duties. You may take all your meals in
the private dining room at the Heads' quarters, or all but
the feasts. The plates in the dining room work the same
way that the plates did at the Yule Ball last year. You
simply say what you would like to eat and it appears.
There is one bathroom, a slight disadvantage, for got that
one. There is a sitting room, a study, two bedrooms with
walk-in closets, and a library. Now that I'm done blabbing
on about your miraculous living condtions, any objections?"
Hermione was speechless. Never in her life had she been
more proud. After a few second however, she found her
voice, "Professor, I would love to be Head Girl!"
"I would be honored to be Head Boy, Headmaster." answered
Draco.
"Well, good! Excellent! Now, to the Heads' quarters!"
said Dumbldore. With that, they headed off to Draco's and
Hermione's new dormitory.
Draco sat on his new bed, amazed. His new Head's quarters
was beautiful. The best part, however, was that he was
sharing it with Hermione. The floorplan was something like
this:
You walk in the door through a painting of a very handsome
warrior into a room, identical to the House common rooms,
only much smaller. It had eight doors. One to the study,
one to the library, one to each bedroom, one to the dining
room, one to the bathroom, one to the sitting room, and one
out to the corridor and the rest of the castle. The study
was a cozy room with a desk and a sofa, complete with a
fireplace. The library was by far Hermione's favorite
room, as Draco knew it would be. It was filled with
shelves upon shelves of books, and cooshy chairs, and a
fireplace. The bedrooms were connected by a door, in case
of emergancies. They had a bed, a dresser, and a mirror.
The other space, as Dumbledore had said, was for them to
fill. The dining room was just a long, thin room with a
table in it. The bathroom was quite roomy, with a shower,
two sinks, a bathtub, and a toilet. The sitting room was
just that-a sitting room. It had two sofas and a cooshy
chair, with a wide rug in the middle of the room.
[A/N: You know what this place is missing? A TV! Just
ignore me...]
Draco sat up and walked to the library, where, predictably,
Hermione was reading.
"Already started on them, have you?" he said, joking.
"Mmm-hmm." was Hermione's simple reply.
"I'm gonna take a shower, okay?"
"Sure."
Draco walked to the bathroom and turned on the water. He
got undressed and walked in to the little cubicle-type
place. The water felt good on his skin, as it was hot and
perfumed. Draco noticed that the water was silent as it
hit the shower floor. How odd, he thought, Must've
bewitched it or something. He was putting shampoo in his
hair when the door opened and Hermione walked in and looked
immediatly toward the source of heat. She coudn't hear the
shower running, he thought.
"Draco!" shrieked Hermione, covering her eyes. She ran out
of the room, but the image of Draco naked burned her mind
and seared her thoughts.
Draco quickly finished getting the shampoo out of his hair
and got out, grabbing a towel.
"Hermione!" Impulse told him to look in her room. He
opened the door and found her leaning against her bed,
sitting on the floor. She had a blank look in her eyes.
"Hermione? Are you okay?" he asked gently, sitting next to
her and making sure that from his waist down was covered
completly. She was silent only for a moment more.
"I-I don't know what to say."
"Well, you just said something." Draco pointed out.
"No, I mean...Well, about what just happened, I..."
"It's okay. I told you I was taking a shower, though."
"When?"
"When you were reading."
"Oh, I don't pay attention to anything when I read, except
the book, of course."
"Well, I'll keep that in mind."
"Draco!"
"I'm kidding. Really."
"Okay. But really, about what happened, I didn't mean to
walk in on you. I didn't hear the shower running."
"It's charmed to be silent."
"Oh, well, that's convinient." Hermione said sarcastically.
"Yeah, really."
Hermione was silent, thinking about what she had seen. Her
cheeks flushed deeply at the thought.
"What?" Draco asked.
"Oh, I was just thinking about what I s-well, I was just
thinking."
Draco knew what she was talking about and felt slightly
uncomfortable, though it was beyond him why. A lot of
girls had seen him naked, and he was never embarassed
before. It's because you didn't love *them*, said a tiny
voice inside him, You felt nothing for those girls. He
took in Hermione's figure, his eyes stopping at her chest.
He suddenly realized she probably hadn't taken off the last
bra she had tried on, The Bra. Stop thinking that, man!
said the same voice that was previously talking, You don't
love her for her body, Draco! Just go get dressed.
"Well, I'll just go get breast." Draco said, not realizing
what he said.
"You'll *what*!?!" Hermione screamed.
"I said I'm going to get br-" he gasped. "I-I didn't mean
that. I meant I was going to get *dressed*!!"
"Yes, but what were you thinking? What were you thinking, Draco? Often, you say what you're thinking without realizing it!"
Draco blushed.
"So you were thinking about...about my..." Hermione said,
just above a whisper.
He blushed harder.
"You were? I can't believe you Draco. I thought I had
something special with you. I didn't know you just wanted
me for sex. I thought you weren't like that."
"I'm not! I don't! I love you for you, Hermione! I do!
It's just, with this whole situation...you walking in on
me, and all...I just...I don't know. I'm a guy, Hermione.
Forgive me. We think about sex every ten seconds, did you
know that? Every ten seconds. I've held off so far, tried
hard not to think about you that way, but it's really,
really, hard. Because I love you with all my heart and the
moon and the sun."
"What do you mean, Draco?" Hermione asked, her voice now
just barely audible.
"I don't want you just for sex, Hermione. Never. When I
got your letter telling me no sex, I told myself that I
wouldn't force you to do anything you don't want to. I
told myself I would never, ever hurt you. I just want what
you want, Hermione. Whatever makes you happy, I'll go that
way."
"I-I...Thank you, Draco. I love you. I'll always love
you. Always. More than you can know, and you just made it
bigger. Knowing that you'll respect my boundries, it just
makes me so happy. Let's go to the dining room. Well, no,
how about you get dressed, and I'll be in the dining room.
I'm hungry." She got up and left, and Draco walked into
his room. His clothes were all ready in the dresser. He
had unpacked earlier. He put on some boxers and jeans and
an orange shirt and made his way to the dining room for
some dinner.
