Chapter 20

It's All For You...

Yeah, it IS all for you, Granger. If you don't hold out on your part o' the deal, I'll be super-mad.
But, yeah, here ya go:

"Hermione?" Draco asked gently. The discussion between the pair had shaken him a bit, as it had involved lots of yelling and tears and comforting.

"Yes?" she whispered. They were laying side-by-side on Hermione's hospital bed, with her laying her head on Draco's chest.

"I'm sorry. So sorry." he told her, speaking to the top of her head.

"For what?" she asked, even though she knew what he was talking about.

"For...this." He waved his hand toward her stomach as an explaination.

"Don't be sorry. It's not either of our's fault. It's all fate, one hundred percent fate. Do you know, the baby will be here in six and a half months, about? Only a little more than half a year." she said, sounding melencholy.

"Really?" he asked, surprised. Draco knew that the baby was probably further along than he thought, but he didn't know that far.

"Really. What should we name it?"

Draco thought for a moment, then said, "Well, it should be a girls' and boys' name, like. . .Sam."

"Yeah. I don't like Sam, though. How about. . ." she forrowed her brow in thought, and then suddenly a name came to mind. "How about Joey?"

"Isn't Joey a boy-only name?"

"Not by my standards. I think it's a lovely girl name."

"If you like it, then that's our baby's name. Joey. Joey. . .what? Who's surname will Joey take?"

"I-I don't know." A thought crossed her mind. What if she and Draco got married? As though he read her mind, Draco spoke before she could.

"I-Should we. . .I mean, we love each other, right? And, we've got a baby. Joey, our baby. So, we could get. . . Harry would kill me, but I'm willing to risk it for you." he chuckled nervously and looked at Hermione as she twisted to look at him.

"Are you saying that you think we should. . ." she breathed.

"I mean, if you don't want to, it's okay. It's not a big deal if you don't. I was just thinking, it might be--"

"So you just proposed to me?"

"Well, I wasn't really, I kind of just suggested it, really--"

"In the middle of the Hospital Wing?"

"Not very romantic, and I'm sure you don't want to, that's okay, really--"

"Are you kidding me? I've got Joey, youer child in me right now, and you know what it's saying? 'I need a daddy! I need a daddy!' Joey needs you to be his or her father, and I. . .I really need you to be my. . .husband. I do, I really do. I love you!"

"Really? You really want to. . .to marry me?" he asked in disbelief.

Hermione nearly laughed, but decided not to, considering the importance of the situation. If, before she had come to school this year, someone had told her that [A/N: Yes, here we go again...]a)Ron would be kidnapped and b)his kidnapper was Draco Malfoy who was )secretly in love with her and d)wanted a date with her as ransom, and e)she agreed, then f)fell in love with him, agreeing now to g)go steady with him, then h)getting drunk while on duty with him and then i)having sex with him, to lead up to j)getting pregnant with his baby, she would have told the person to go to St. Mungo's and have a nice, long course of stress-releiving shock spells, her treat.

"Hermione?" Draco asked, sounding very unsure.

She realized she had been silent for a long time and it probably worried him.

"I'm sorry, I was thinking. Of course I want to marry you! I love you more than the sun and the moon and everything else, and I want-no *need* to be with you for the rest of our lives, and I need to raise children with you, and--"

"Hold on a second. Child*ren*? As in, multiples of the eing that is in your ovary this very minute?"

"What, you don't want childen?"

"Well, of course I do, but. . ." Draco was now breathing heavily and something clicked in her mind.

"Not right away! Oh my gosh, one kid at sixteen is one too many, you think I want more immediately? No thanks!" Draco exhaled and looked relieved.

"Good. I mean, you're right. One kid at sixteen is one too many. There's no way we need more."

"Yes, exactly. I say next time we use protection."

"So, how soon is this 'next time?'"

"After the baby comes, Draco, be a good boy."

"But it's so *hard*. . ."

"Which *hard* do you mean? Difficult or. . ."

"What if I told you both?"

"Draco. . . You know I want to, but I can't. Not with a baby."

"Why not?"

"I. . . I don't know. It's just that it doesn't seem *right*, doing it when there's all ready something up there. Or, someone, I suppose."

"Well, would it hurt Joey?"

"No, probably not. Joey's way up there, so as long as we used a condom or something, than she's-I mean, Joey's safe."

"So, nothing would happen to Joey if we. . ."

"Nope."

"I don't see why we shouldn't, then."

"Are you suggesting that we. . ." she let the sentence trail off.

"That's exactly what I was suggesting. So how about it?"

"How long do we have until Madame Pomfrey's back?" she asked him, feeling herself arousing all ready.

"Oh, so that's a yes? We have exactly. . ." he glanced at his watch, calculating in his head, "A hour and twenty-seven minutes before she's back. You ready?"

"So ready." Hermione took off her shirt and pants, as did Draco, then the undergarments. She crawled under the sheets, followed by him, and she kissed him with as much force as she could muster. [A/N: And. . .cut! If you want to know what happened, go to /B_Bootyful3, you pervy people!]

The next morning, Hermione woke, feeling immensly happy. What happened last night? she asked herself. Oh yeah, we did it again. Oh, shoot! Did Madame Pomfrey see? Oh, that would really suck!

She glanced over beside her, thinking she's see Draco, but instead saw a note:

Dear Hermione,

I love you. I left last night after you fell asleep, trying to avoid Madame Pomfrey, but she caught me. I got a detention for being out after curfew, but that's all they suspect, so you're safe. I'll see you as soon as I can, which might be later today. It's Saturday, so no classes to miss!

Love,
Your Awesome Fianc`e,
Draco

P.S: You didn't change your mind, did you? We have to talk about telling people. It can't be a secret or I'll explode. I'm most worried about Potter, though. I think he might explode if we don't keep it a secret. He's really stressed and tense, Hermione, so. . .be careful. Love you again, bye!
