Emma Watson's Official Site Launched

Emma Watson has launched an official web site for herself. The web site is produced by Lightmaker, which also runs JK Rowling's web site. Some of the highlights from the site include a biography, news, Emma's Messaging Service, which is her blog, and an events calendar.

On the front page, she posted a message saying:
Wow my first message
Hey guys, I am really excited to be launching an official website. I hope it is fun, informative and different. It's taken a while to put together but I am really happy with the results. I have appointed Jo as webmistress for the site because she has supported me since the beginning of my career (age 9) and seems to have got the hang of me quite well! Look out for messages from the 'emma messaging service' (e.m.s) from me. I really hope you like it, Much love from Emma x x

There is a feature on the site for registered users to send messages to Emma, and to post comments on her e.m.s (blog) entries.

Under their news, a 10 question interview with Emma is posted and here it is as well:

How do you feel about having your own website and what do you hope it will achieve?

Emma: It allows me to give something back to all the people who have given me so much over sort of the past 6 or 7 years really since I started the Harry Potter films and it kind of allows me to speak to them directly which I didnt really have a way of doing so Yeah! Im really excited about it.

How long does it take you to get ready for a premiere?

Emma: It depends which premiere; I kind of - I consider the premiere in London which is normally the World premiere to be the biggest one, so I dont make any other plans on the day of the London premiere, I pretty much..erm. I go to whichever hotel Warner Brothers have booked us in for to go ..before we go to the premiere and erm, I start to get ready pretty much from the morning right the way through to when I leave to go and do the red carpet! So yeah! Quite a while! (lol)

Do you know what you are wearing to each of the upcoming premieres?

Emma: Er.. yes! And I can give you a hint for the London premiere which is that its got sparkle!

Do you have a favourite toy or teddy bear that you had since you were a child?

Emma: Yes, I have a rabbit called Bunnykins who has actually travelled with me especially when I was younger on pretty much every single location and erm.. like Newcastle, Durham sort of everywhere we went really and its actually gone all the way to New York and L.A with me on the second film I think I took it with me so erm..yeah (lol)

What is your favourite thing about London?

Emma: I guess its just that theres something always happening erm.. theres always something to see, somewhere to go, something to do, people to meet. I just love the fact that its always buzzing.

Would you ever consider doing reality TV?

Emma: Nope! Never ever ever ever!

If you could star in any movie from the past what would it be?

Emma: I'd play erm.. Sandy in Grease.

Who would win in a fight between you and Keira Knightly?

Emma: Er.. (lol) well Id like to say me but I think shes a bit taller than me ..a bit bigger I think.. I think she might actuall have the upper hand but erm (lol) Id certainly give her a good run for her money (lol)

If you could meet anyone in the world (from past or present) who would it be?

Emma: Ah tricky! Erm.. Elizabeth I .. I think

Can you describe yourself in 3 words?

Emma: Passionate... loyal and optimistic...I think! Youve put me on the spot! But er... I think (laughs).
