Emma Watson has been cast to do the voice of Princess Pea in the upcoming movie, The Tale of Despereaux. The movie is an animated adventure and comedy movie based on the book. Despereaux is a tale of three unlikely heroes, with an unhappy rat who is in love with the princess and a bumbling servant girl with cauliflower ears.

The movie is currently slated for release in late December of 2008. It is currently in production and being animated by Framestore CFC, a London based visual effects and animation studio.

Although Emma won't be acting in this movie at all, it is good to see her take on a role outside of Harry Potter.
